John is the Leslie Rugby team captain and go forward guy; he has been an enthusiastic rugby man since his early days. The first born son of All Blacks captain Andy Leslie and the infamous Lesley Leslie, John was one of those youngsters who would slip his rugby kit on and sleep in it the evening before he played; he'd fall asleep dreaming of scoring tries and celebrating with his mates.
John’s rugby life experiences have been colourful and varied and have further reinforced his love of the game and the people who play, administer and support it.
John’s role in Leslie Rugby is to continue to develop a team orientated company that is focused on supporting and providing value to grassroots rugby volunteers and administrators, who are passionate about their club, school, team and community. John also heads our new product development operation and is committed to growing our acclaimed Leslie Rugby Junior Coaching Clinic’s.
In his spare time John keeps it real by coaching his sons Southern RFC under 11 rugby team and being a family man.
Brent’s a “solid
as” rugby man and anchors our Leslie Rugby scrum from the tight-head
prop position. Like all good front rowers he is committed to the hard
yakka that is often not noticed by those waiting for the ball to come
their way.
He prides himself on setting a great front foot platform
for the rest of our team to play off.
As our team Operations Manager, Brent details and tracks your Leslie Rugby order from deep in our own half until hot on attack where he presents to his team mates, (Club Liaisons) to score and line up the conversion.
Brent has a wealth of club and representative rugby knowledge from over 34 years of experience as a senior player, coach and administrator. He loves his Pirates FC of which he is the current President and Director of Rugby. Brent also enjoys a coldie after work at the St Kilda Tavern with his mates when his front row day is done.
Our Club Liaison’s key requirement is to present you with helpful, relevant, accurate and timely information regarding the rugby product and service that we can provide. Fraser and Peter are well tuned-in to assist you through the ordering process; once your order is confirmed and in production they will update you regularly with where your order is at and your delivery status.
Fraser and Peter are
more than sales guys; they are honest rugby men that have a real commitment to grassroots rugby in NZ. They look
forward to working hard for you when they are given the opportunity.
So hot on footy was Fraser as a boy that he spent hours in his room passing to pillow targets and diving on mattresses to perfect his halfback pass. This goes a way to explaining his creative and fun style of coaching at our Leslie Rugby Junior Coaching Clinics.
After being schooled at Wellington College Fraser headed south to be educated at the University of Otago. He is the halfback and assistant coach for the Dunedin RFC which were champions in 2009.
Peter is a young man who is passionate about achieving in rugby. His goal is to crack the Otago team and make an impact in 2012.
Breeny mixes his rugby drive and dedication superbly with his enjoyment of the game both on and off the field. Schooled out of Waitaki Boys High School and tertiary educated at Otago Polytechnic.
Peter is an imaginative ideas man who provides valuable
contribution to our product development. and team.
